Licensing summary
ChannelGate is source-available, not OSI open-source software. The binding terms are the Makeitfuture Sustainable Use License 1.3, the EE directory license and any separate agreement with the Licensor. This summary does not replace them.
- Internal business, personal and noncommercial use are permitted within the applicable limits.
- No key permits one conversation; a free key permits unlimited conversations, each with 500 AI messages per UTC month. Enterprise entitlements can remove those limits.
- Dedicated deployment services for individual customers are permitted when root Section 3.1’s conditions hold. Paid software distribution, shared customer hosting and white-labeling require the applicable written agreement.
- Permitted free redistribution includes the unchanged bundled EE directory. That exception lets ordinary no-key and free-key installations run their required enforcement components; it does not unlock optional Enterprise features or permit disabling enforcement.
- Composio SDK mode is Enterprise-only and Beta. Standard Composio MCP mode remains available in every tier. Google Chat and Microsoft Teams are Beta connectors available in every tier.
- Filesystem/process isolation, authorization, secret handling, audit records and backup/restore retain the same protections in every tier.
Read the practical FAQ for deployment examples, license-key documentation for limits, and privacy/data flow for exact licensing payloads. Contributions use CLA.md; third-party components keep their original terms. Trademark permissions and AI/provider agreements are separate from permission to use ChannelGate source.
